Don’s Hard News is the trading name for author, freelance editor, editorial consultant and award-winning journalist, columnist and leader writer Andrew Don. Cited in the 1990s as “one of the UK’s foremost retail journalists”  by Independent Grocer.

Andrew Don has been a journalist since 1984 (click here for CV - opens new window). His senior roles have included news editor, features editor, deputy editor, editor and consultant editor. SalonFocus, the magazine Andrew Don edited and launched for the National Hairdressers’ Federation, is a Publication of the Year Award winner in the Trade Association Forum Best Practice Awards.

Andrew Don has written extensively for hundreds of newspapers and magazines ranging from national newspapers, such as the Financial Times, The Times, The Independent, The Guardian and The Observer as well as a vast assortment of business-to-business and consumer magazines. He has written speeches for captains of industry and trade association personnel, and leader and City/business columns.
